Quick bulletin:
Are you looking for a beautiful house in sunny Norfolk, Virginia?
Well then Steve's cousins have the house for you! Check
out Shellie and Marv's Carlin Castle!
It could change your life! (or at the very least, make it worth living
again...)
2/6/03
No picture updates today. We know, you're dissappointed. We've been
too busy to take any pictures, let alone develop them! Katie's friend
Joanna came to stay with us last weekend. The two spent the weekend galavanting
around Centreville and DC. Steve tried to do homework, but was unsuccessful
for the most part. (It's okay, he's since discovered that he's still ahead
anyway! Or the professors are behind him! Who knows!?) We're now eagerly
awaiting word of the snow that's blanketting the DC area... Maybe we'll
get to stay home tomorrow! Cross your fingers! :)
Also one final note of interest....
Watson's on the Web v.2.0 is coming!
Featuring:
- Even easier methods of updating, so you'll hopefully see more Katie
entries. (We know you want 'em!)
- Comments by you, yes you, dear reader! Readers will be able to add
their thoughts to any entry! Sound off fans 'o WoW!
- Searcheable entries! Can't remember the date of that oh-so-funny quip
Steve made 2 months ago, but want to show all your friends??? Just use
the search engine!
WoWv2.0, coming soon to a website near you...
1/18/03 Happy New Year! (About a month late!
Phhhht!)
The holidays were extremely good to us! We hope they were as good to you,
kind reader! Now it is back to the daily grind. Grad school is starting
back up for Steve this week (Microeconomics & Financial Decisionmaking),
Katie is eagerly hoping for snow days to get a day off, and Dragon is
doing what he does best...sleep.
While we've been away neglecting the website, Steve rebuilt the computer,
Katie has been working out at her new gym (ask her about her big guns!),
and Dragon was his usual nuisance (when not sleeping). We know, "Excuses,
excuses!"
In other news, Katie's commercial isn't on yet, but one of the new commercials
is online with Steve briefly in the background! From Jenny
Craig's website click on "New Attitudes" in the lower left
corner to open a flash movie. Watch the one labeled "New Atttitude
Commercial". Steve is in the background behind the second shot of
the woman named "Magdalena."
Mucho updates of pictures today! In addition to more
Thanksgiving 2002, we've got some Christmas
2002 pix, some fun random pictures from
October '02 (includes more stupid cat pix),
pictures from the set of the Jenny Craig commercials,
and some shots on the set of Steve's talkshow
at GMU-TV. Enjoy!
12/5/02
So much has happened since the last update, I don't know where to begin!
The snow is dumping down today, so both Katie and Steve are off work!
Yippee!
Katie was in the Jenny Craig commercials down in Miami. Perhaps if she
gets enough bugging, she'll write about it. Steve got to go down for part
of her shoot and ended up being an extra in a couple of the other girls'
commercials.
We stayed in high gear after returning from Miami. Katie's family came
to stay with us for our first Thanksgiving in the house. We hosted a grand
feast that was spectacular! Katie was on top of things and everyone was
impressed with the tasty spread. Check
out some of the pictures from the day!
11/10/02
Katie shattered her goal this week! She's finished with the losing, now
she's just got to maintain! Yeehaw! Final count: 104.8
lbs lost!
11/01/02
Happy Birthday to Steve's Mom! She's 29 today!
Katie's now 4 ounces from her goal! One more week to go! (We think!)
It looks like Katie's actually going to be in the Jenny Craig commercial!
WooHoo!
Steve took some more pictures of Katie for the Jenny Craig peeps. They're
of her wearing her Prom dress! From 1994!!! Check
'em out!
10/25/02
100!
That's right! Katie's now lost over 100 pounds! Give her a pat on the
back next time you see her! We're still waiting for the call to find out
if she gets the Jenny Craig commercial. Keep your fingers crossed!
On another note, Steve's still getting straight A's in the MBA program.
Let's hope it lasts!
That's it for this update!
 |
10/19/02
Today, Steve took some pictures of Katie for the Jenny
Craig people. They're looking for candidates for one of their
feel-good commercials. The first set
looks pretty darn good! The second
set, while not quite as good, can be seen here.
Thanks to Steve's parents
for loaning us their sweet camera! If any family sees a picture
they'd like a print of, just let Steve
know and he'll send you the full sized version that can be used
to get prints at your local shop!

10/13/02
Created an automated page that will show thumbnails with links to the
images in any directory. Should streamline the process of getting pics
online to all of the fans out there...
Also added the last few pics from Amy &
Ian's wedding.
10/12/02
Updated the look a bit today. Steve happened across a page
that got him feeling a wee bit self-conscious about the page, so he felt
a little update was in order. Also updated the Pictures
page to include the RenFest 02 pics that Steve
never created a page for. Not sure if he'll ever make a nice thumbnailed
page for it, but you never know.
Katie's at 97.8 now! Not much further to go! Sometime in the coming weeks,
the JC public relations people
will be visiting her local center. You never know, she could be a poster
girl soon!
Steve got an 97% on his first graduate assignment. He's currently busy
working on others and waiting on two more grades to come back.
One thing of note, the show Sticky
works on, 8
Simple Rules on ABC, got picked up for the season! Congrats to
Sticky!
9/29/02
No time for talk, must finish paper.
RenFest 02 - today.
Pictures - here.
Also last weekend wedding pictures - here.
Enjoy!
8/31/02
Oy! Steve's been a naughty monkey! No update for over 2 months!
Here goes!
Katie's down 91 point something pounds now! Yep, she's lost a whole person!
She looks fantastic! The next picture will probably come at 100, so stay
tuned! (If Steve would just keep the d**ned page updated!)
Steve finally finished GMU-TV's annual Portfolio
Video! It's received some rave reviews! A guy Steve works with at
GMU-TV used to work with a guy who's now a higher up at Industrial Light
& Magic. ILM is George Lucas's special effects company. They did the
effects for Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, among hundreds
of other blockbuster movies... Apparently this guy did a search for Steve's
coworker and found him at GMU-TV's website... where he also found GMU-TV's
Star Wars Portfolio Video... (You HAVE seen it, or at least the Pictures
from it, haven't you????)
Anyways, this is what he had to say:
While perusing the GMUTV web site I happened upon your 2002
Portfolio video. Im not sure what kind of equipment you
academic types are working with but your Star Wars fan film is big fun
and very well done. It has made the rounds among the pixel pushers here
and most agree it was terrific. Some of the inside jokes are hard for
us left-coasters to get but the effects look very tasty.
Steve's flabbergasted that anyone at ILM has even seen it, let alone
enjoyed it!
Cheer!
And the final update.... Steve's a student again! He started classes
this past week! This semester he's studying Business Statistics &
Organizational Behavior. The semester looks challenging, but interesting!
Wish him luck!

6/18/02
Steve finally got off his duff and put up the 3 pictures from Katie's
Memorial Day trip to NYC to visit her friend Joanna.
Check 'em out here.
Steve also moved all entries prior to 3/30/02 to the Archives.
The front page should load a tad bit faster now...

lbs and counting! If you missed the last progress picture taken
by the peeps at Jenny Craig,

Woah! Long time since an update! Katie's now down 74 lbs and looking great!
Steve's been busting butt at work on his latest masterpiece - GMU-TV's
annual portfolio video. Each year they do a short themed video to go with
the annual portfolio, a collection of statistics, goals, achievements,
etc. If you've seen the test videos Steve put up in the last few entries,
you should already know this year's theme. Here's an almost finished sequence
from the video:
720x405 Resolution-8.4MB or 360x202
Resolution-2.8MB.
Right click and "Save Link As" to your desktop. Then doubleclick
to play them with Quicktime.
They'll probably play better there than in your browser.
*** The 8.4MB movie will only play smoothly on FAST
computers. :P
When completed it's going to be pretty sweet! To see just the beginning
from last year's Survivor themed Portfolio that Steve did, just go to
GMU-TV's
Survivor Portfolio Page and click on the link to view the video.
Hope everyone remembers that this Sunday is Father's Day! Hope it's a
great one for all you Dad's! (Steve swears he won't be joining your ranks
anytime soon! Not that there's anything wrong with it....Just... Oh never
mind....)
5/27/02
Hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day weekend! Katie went to New York
to visit a friend. Steve stayed home and tried to teach himself 3D Studio
Max. He's working on a secret project at work that he might use it on.
Here's a little movie he's been playing with today. It's 2 3D objects
composited over a still shot from GMU. Can you figure out what type of
project he's doing? Check out the
movie here. (1.12Mb)
5/17/02
Ok quick update. Katie's down 65 now! Woohoo. Also, Steve & his geeky
friend Richard decided to see if they could do a lightsaber effect. Click
here for the results (Quicktime movie 400kb).

We now present
Katie's Progress Picture!
The picture on the left was taken in October 2001. The one on the
right was taken 2 weeks ago at 55 lbs lighter. Go Katie!
Click on the picture for larger version. Sorry about
the quality, but they were polaroids.

4/14/02 Supplemental
Added a page to browse the random pictures. No big versions, but you
can see all of the files in the folder for the random pix on the right.
I added a link up top to the page. Click there or here.
4/14/02
Added some more stupid cat pics to the
pictures page, also added 3 pictures from Katie's
Mom and sister Becky's visit. Check 'em
out! Also added a couple of pictures to the random picture on the
right... May work on a way to let you browse the directory of random pix...
Too many to put them all up pretty-like...
4/13/02
News! Katie's lost 55lbs now! She's psyched to be past the half-way
point!
Steve was accepted to GMU's MBA Program! 3 long years of hard work ahead!
Oy!
We're getting pretty comfortable in the new house. Steve's still got
some straightening to do in his office (made worse by doing taxes this
weekend!) and Katie still has to pick where she wants Steve to hang the
big pictures. Dragon was declawed this week with the spankin' new laser
surgery! He was a little tenative at first, but a day later he was practically
back to normal.
Steve's also combatting the invasion of the ants. The warm weather brought
more than sunshine! :(
3/30/02
Just a quick update today... 3 pictures are up from the moving day!
Hit the Pictures page or go directly to them
here! Thanks again to all who helped!
On a side note, Steve had a great birthday! Thanks to everyone for making
it special!
3/19/02
The move was successful! Sorry it's been so long for an update. Steve
finally got the network up and running after some problems getting the
router hooked up to the cable modem. The router needed to clone the MAC
address of the laptop since it was originally hooked up to the cable modem.
Never had these problems with the DSL... Should be interesting to compare
the speeds.
We're slowly making progress through all of our stuff. The place is still
a wreck, but before long it'll feel like home!
Also, Steve took the GMAT last week.
He got a 640 on the quantitative and verbal sections... The average for
GMU's MBA program is 600! Hopefully this is a good sign!
3/6/02
Steve spent the day at the new house today. He's exhausted from waiting
for deliveries, waiting for the cable guy, and putting together furniture.
The house is looking great! Now that there's a little bit of new furniture
set up, we're falling more in love with it! Hopefully moving our old stuff
into it won't ruin it!
Also, Steve used his godlike touch and the computer miraculously started
this evening! Three days of refusing to turn on still hasn't been explained!
Pretty strange... At this point, it'll probably stay on until the big
move.
Also also, as if moving weren't enough, Steve's working on his application
to GMU's MBA program... Not only does he have to fill out a form, but
he has to write two essays and take the GMAT! The nerve of them! Making
applicants do things that require real thought! It's been so long, Steve's
got to brush the dust off the old brain, write the essays, and practice
for the GMAT which is a week from tomorrow!!! Oy! The math part of the
GMAT should be no problem, it's just those tough verbal/reasoning things
where they give you a passage and have you argue the point or analyze
the argument. Steve had no idea managers would be required to think! [You
fill in the next line here...]
3/2/02
"Hi Everybody! Hi Dr. Nick!"
You'll all be happy to hear that closing went well on Tuesday! We're homeowners
now! Yehaww! So now we're making the transition to become Virginians,
y'all! Now the hard part is waiting to move in! The big move is only 2
weeks from today! Hopefully it will go smoother than when we moved in.
(Jesse & Steve carried everything from the parking lot all 40 yards
to the building, then up the stairs! Katie supervised! Just kidding! She
carried the little stuff.) Oh yeah, Katie's at 40.1 now!
If we missed ya in the mass e-mailing, contact
Steve for our new mobile phone numbers and our new address! We didn't
mean to miss you! Really! No, Really!
2/23/02
Since Steve has been sooooo busy, I thought I would jump in and give him
a hand with this. As of Thursday I am officially down 38.1 pounds (with
a mere 64.9 more to go!!) For anyone interested in learning more about
the Jenny Craig program, they have recently updated and revamped their
website, so check it out!
www.jennycraig.com
2/2/02
For those keeping count, Katie's at 31.3! Give her a pat on the back when
you see her!
Steve went on the home inspection tour this week. Much to our relief,
nothing too glaring was wrong. The heat pump, dishwasher, & garbage
disposal needed servicing... That's about it! (we breathe
a collective sigh of relief)
Steve's computer's video card began a slow death last week. He'd been
having problems with 3D Games crashing quickly into the game(Ghost
Recon, Operation
Flashpoint, Return
to Wolfenstein, Medal
of Honor) for the past few months. Finally, last week, after one such
crash, upon reboot, the screen looks streaked, where dark objects seem
to have a streak across the screen. He plugged another machine into the
monitor and it looked crystal clear, so was not the problem.
After making sure he still had all the latest drivers for sound &
video, he decided to open the case to make sure the card had not become
unseated or something. The fan on the GPU looked dusty, as though it had
not run in a long time. While he had the case open, he surmised that perhaps
the fan died and the card was overheating. In the process of one such
overheating, it must have permanently damaged the card. Leaving the case
opened, he turned the machine on and ran Medal
of Honor. Where before the game repeatedly crashed upon the opening
sequence, it now played stable.
After leaving the case open, he didn't experienced a game crash for a
few days, but he still had these strange brightness/contrast streaks going
on in all of the video. Well, he checked his documentation from ABS,
the place where he bought the computer 2 years ago. No mention of video
card warranty... He sent in a tech support request and behold, the card
had a 3 year warranty! After chatting with an ABS tech (who told Steve
that he'd already done all of the tech's troubleshooting for him!), the
tech says to send in the video card and they'll send him a replacement.
The only catch is they don't have GeForce256's in stock anymore because
they're outdated... Soooooooooooo's, they're going to replace it with
a brand new GeForce2 200 or 400! Yippeee! Cross your fingers for the 400!
Screw Dell & Gateway! Buy
ABS!
1/26/02
Pictures
of the townhouse we're buying are up!
1/23/02 9:32 PM
We got the contract, with the caveat that we'd get the sellers a solid
loan approval letter by 9PM today... Well, after Steve spent all day faxing,
worrying, phoning, and more faxing at Katie's office, things seem to have
gone through!
Success!
1/22/02 6:11 PM
We've made an offer on another house! We're currently in the first round
of negotiations. Steve's staying at work biting his fingernails until
he hears more. Cross your fingers and toes and send some more mojo our
way!!!
1/18/02
Well, we didn't get the house. There will be others.
1/17/02
No news on our offer yet... Probably not good anyway...
On the good news front, Katie is at 26.6! Go Katie!
1/16/02 7:38PM
Two other offers came in for the place we made an offer on... We've probably
lost it... Not enough mojo people! (All 2 of you who check this site regularly...
You know who you are!)
PS. Mojo is vibes, good feelings, thoughts, prayers, etc...
1/15/02 10:47PM
We made an offer...No more details till you send us mojo. We can't
jinx it... Mojo, mojo, mojo!
1/13/02
What a whirlwind of a week!
New neighbors moved into the apartment above us last weekend. Since then,
we've been assaulted by loud music, television, baby crying, stomping
on the floor, multiple LOUD "christenings" of the apartment
in almost every room, loud fights and loud makeups (more "christenings")...
Oy...
On Wednesday, we had a freak episode of freezing rain throughout the
area. Some of you may have heard about the 16 car accident on Rt. 123
at I66? No? Well, Steve was one of the 16 cars! No worries, he's fine
and the car just got scratched up. Traffic was stopping on an overpass
for an accident ahead. At this particular point in the road, both sides
were effectively closed for accidents due to the ice on the road. Anywho,
Steve's was barely able to stop in time for the person in front of him,
although the ice made it difficult! (Thank God for ABS!) The person behind
Steve couldn't stop. She ended up scratching up the right rear side of
the Accord... As Steve was preparing to get out, he sees a minivan rear-end
the car next to him. Then, as if nothing worse could happen, as the minivan
driver begins to exit the car, a bigger van rear-ends the minivan! What
a morning! Luckily, no one appeared to be hurt...
We're house-hunting this weekend. Any dramatic updates will be posted
immediately!
1/4/02
Happy New Year!
For those counting, Katie made it through the holidays and is now at whopping
23.4!!!
In his all-too-little time off from work, Steve is frantically running
around cleaning up all the old Christmas stuff, running to the car shop
for bulging tire problems, going to the MVA, (then to Katie's work for
some signatures, then back to the MVA), continuing our search for mortgages
and a real estate agent, and keeping the cat happy.... Oy!
We also visited the Sherwood and Reczek clans in Massachusetts for a
while. While there, we braved downtown Boston, visited the Aquarium, Katie
froze her butt off in the cold, and a waiter threw bread at Steve... It
was a great time!
12/23/01
OOooooooh.... Christmas is just 2 days away!!! Yehaww!
Oh yeah, updated the links section....
12/21/01
Steve finally finished the Holiday Show on Thursday. It sure is a piece
of show... If you're in the N. Virginia area, you can see it thrice
daily on GMU-TV...
Whupp-dee-doo! Ever complete something like that and think later, "There
goes a weekend and some evenings that I'll never get back..."?
Since Steve has no clever stories of his own this week, we bring one
from an outside source. One of Steve's "inside sources" out
in LA brings us this interesting tidbit on Gary
Coleman:
Gary Coleman was on our Halloween episode. We did this scooby-doo
kinda thing, the mysterious figure was kidnapping the cast one by one.
At the very end, [our main character] captures him and rips off his
mask, and underneath, it's Gary Coleman. Funny, since the dude was six
feet tall in all the previous scenes. Well, Gary thought he was going
to play the mystery dude for the whole episode, and not just the ending
scene (note: Gary Coleman is INSANE). Anyway, there's this big fight
scene in the script, backflips and kung-fu, so the first day on the
job, I see Gary walking to the set so I go up to introduce myself and
show him his dressing room, and he says "Hi, I'm Gary. Lemme practice
my moves." So he starts kicking and punching me. And I can't fight
back at all because he's a guest star, and he has no kidneys and it'd
just be cruel. So anyway, I start backing up, and he keeps coming, I'm
able to block most of it, but I guess he's got some belt in karate.
Crazy time. It just lasted a minute or two before he tired himself out.
But the dude's a nutjob, by the end of the week everyone wanted to kill
him, they were all saying I shoulda punched him in the head. Dude's
a pill, major attidude, refused to listen to the director and wouldn't
let them shoot the episode the way they wanted, he wanted to play the
mystery guy in every scene. Kept changing the lines, too. Finally they
just told him he'd either have to do what they said or they'd refuse
to pay him, and that shut him up.
Hehe... Whatchoo talkin' bout, Gary?
12/16/01
A busy week all around! Katie served jury duty this week. According to
the judge afterward, Katie was the only sane person on the jury! (Not
his exact words, but she was the only juror to recognize the plaintiff
for human slime.) Luckily, she fought for what was right and ended up
feeling pretty good about the experience.
Steve wrapped shooting the GMU-TV Holiday show on Friday. (This year
is his turn to produce the yearly spectacle.) While shooting, he lucked
out and was able to tape a holiday greeting for the show with Virginia
Governor Jim Gilmore. That was neat! Directly after the taping, as the
Governor walked off, he paused, his head turned towards Heather (one of
GMU-TV's Production Assistants). In a strangely robotic motion, the Governor
made a beeline toward her and said in a sultry voice, "Hi young lady,
what's your name?" After she answered, he said "Hi Heather,
I'm Jim Gilmore." It seemed rather odd since he hadn't done that
to any of the other 20 people in the room... Steve has been giggling ever
since...
So, Steve spent all weekend at work editing... Today (Sunday) he had
a nice break from work to have lunch with his parents. But then it was
back to the editing computer... There's still plenty to do! Hopefully
it will be done by deadline on Wednesday! Lots of people are eagerly awaiting
the show! (Steve's eagerly awaiting vacation!)
Watson Log Supplemental: (hehe)
We're almost done shopping! Got to love the Internet!
12/8/01
First entry of December! Katie came home on Wednesday with a fresh grown
Christmas tree... Steve almost had a heart attack when she told him how
much it had cost. He maintains that their nice artificial tree is cleaner
and cheaper! The new tree does look mighty nice in the living room. All
it needs are Steve's fine Star Trek ornaments to finish it up!
We may be visiting Annapolis this weekend for the Festival of Lights.
Perhaps Steve will take some pictures for the website.
For those of you in the know, Katie's at 15 and counting!
You may have noticed the little pictures in the upper right hand corner
of the main page... They're random pix of whatever strikes Steve's fancy
as he's web surfing. Some of them have interesting descriptions.
Steve still hasn't started his Christmas shopping...
11/30/01
Hey gang! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We sure did. Katie's
parents came down to our neck of the woods. Together we spent Thanksgiving
at Steve's Mom's house with family. We also had a wonderful get-together
at Steve's Dad's house. We all ate way too much...
Steve finally attended his Flash Training class on Monday and Tuesday.
When he came home, he had a strange desire to create a little game for
one of GMU-TV's websites. It's still in Alpha, but feel free to play around
with it at http://www.gmutv.gmu.edu/virginiajourneys/getcharlie.asp
11/21/01
Happy Thanksgiving!
Steve hasn't written in a while because he's been troubleshooting some
odd lockups on the home computer... To make a long story short, a good
old fashioned formatting was called for.
Steve has a theory. Once a computer hits 2 years old, it starts acting
up for its owner. The crashes etc. don't make any sense. The owner gets
frustrated. You see, the computer wants to be given/sold to someone else
(with whom they die). The original owner buys a new computer, thus the
cycle of life is preserved...
The computer seems to have recovered...
But for how long...?...
11/14/01
Steve worked from home today, doing GMU-TV
web site work all day. He created a new site for GMU-TV's
Virginia Journeys. The link has been added over on the left.
11/11/01
Added a link to the Salt Box Gallery.
Check it out for gift ideas for the holiday season!
Also added some more pictures to the Random Picture list.
11/10/01
Remember how Steve mentioned he set up a video server at work a week ago?
Well, Steve checked the server at one point this week and found it had
168 hits in two days! He was ecstatic and told everyone in sight
of the outstanding success GMU-TV's
Video On Demand page had become.
Well, a little while later Steve became curious. He checked the detailed
server logs to find out who was looking at all them movies...Only to discover
that a couple of computers on campus had some sort of virus (probably
Nimda) and were relentlessly pinging the server to try to infect it! Only
6 of the 168 hits were legitimate!
(Don't worry, the server had caught a little virus as he was setting it
up (another story entirely), so by this point Steve had the server set
up properly. It was unaffected.)
In the end, Steve had to sheepishly tell his GMU-TV brethren of the false
success... Oy!
To any aspiring admins: Always check your detailed logs before telling
people how great your server is doing!
Site-wise, we've added the Watson Random Picture on this page.
Anyone has an image they'd like Steve to add just e-mail
him.
11/4/01
We saw Monsters, Inc. this afternoon. Was entertaining. If you're ever
looking for a new effective form of birth control, go to an animated movie
on a weekend early afternoon.
Added the flash animation above on the main page and the new links on
the left. Also created the header and the footer of all pages as Server
Side Includes to speed up updates, creating pages, etc. May work on some
kind of flash intro...
Also, if any family member would like an e-mail address @WatsonsOnTheWeb.com
just contact Steve at webmaster@WatsonsOnTheWeb.com.
Likewise, if any family want their own subdomain,( ie. http://leslie.watsonsontheweb.com)
with your own website, let Steve know. (Unfortunately that costs money.)
11/4/01
Converted the site to Active Server Pages (asp) which will allow me to
do some fancier things with updates, etc.
Also got rid of the Java Applet of the countup for how long we've been
married. It's now on the "How long have we
been married page?" The Applet seemed to take a little extra
time to load on slower machines, so I figured why not put it on it's own
page instead of keeping it out in the open.
The Stupid Cat Pics are back up in the Pictures
Section.
11/3/01
Okay, we're up on an official server with a real web address! Woohoo!
We don't expect the address to change again. Now that we're on a real
server, Steve may try to do some neater things with the page... We'll
see...
With the new server, we can now host up to 200MB worth of data... Any
fam or friends who need to post a hefty pic or something, just let Steve
know. Also, the Sherwood Xmas Pics from
last year are back up.

Okay... not much new... Steve telecommuted on Wed. of this week. He
was pretty psyched. Unfortunately, he couldn't sleep past his normal wake
up time, so he started work half-an-hour early and as usual worked late...
At least he lost the 2.5 hours of driving time for the day!
Also this week, Steve started work on a new webpage for the sports show
at work. To check out the work in progress go to http://www.gmutv.gmu.edu/masonsidelines.
Personally I (Steve) like the design better than any of my other work
pages.
Finally, Steve setup a low-grade server at work to host GMU-TV's
Quicktime movies for the Video
On Demand Page. If you haven't already seen it, you should really
checkout GMU-TV
Survivor which Steve produced for GMU-TV's
year in review portfolio. "That's some clever voyving..."
If you haven't noticed already, Steve's trying to update this more often...
Send some feedback if you're actually
reading it, and maybe he'll keep it up!

Happy Birthday Mom!
10/21/01
Didn't really update anything... Just thought I'd stop by to say hey....
"Hey." Boy, what an update....
Ok, ok... Here goes: Steve's going to Macromedia Flash training this week.
There he'll learn how to do really cool web animations and create neat
interactive websites. Should be neat. Also new news, Steve has gotten
permission to telework one or two days a month. Once in a while, he'll
stay home and do GMU-TV webpage
development on the computer at home. Neat, eh?
